Due to an installation of a Heidts IFS (which is really a nice way to go) I need to modify the oil pan on the 351C from a front sump to a rear sump. I am looking for a replacement oil pan. Does anyone know of one or a pan that could be used as a replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If SVO can't hook you up, you might try P.A.W. or Summitracing, or one of the 4x4 sites, this is something that usually is needed for a transplant into a 4x4 to clear the front diff., most list a higher capacity as well as stock type-one other option might be to find one out of a van, I think they also use a rear sump and pick-up. Good luck, Chuck P.

Milodon and Moroso both make engine swap pans for 79 and up Mustangs and fox body's. They both have extra capacity rear sump pans which should have built in dipsticks.

Find a used pan off of a 4x4 or Bronco that came with a 351M or a 400. You will also need the pickup tube and the main mounting stud. The pan will bolt right on to your 351C.

I kept the front sump pan on the 351W I put in my '64 with a '77 Volare front suspension setup... of course, I had to fabricate the motormount cradle and towers to fit the engine in anyway...
