Lemon?

2007 with 3,300 miles. Truck pulls to the left significantly while braking from 50mph on. I have had this truck to two different dealers 6 times. They are stumped. Two sets of brake pads and a tire rotation. Two ride-a-longs with the service manager who admits the truck pulls and has a problem, but can not offer any advice on how to fix it. What can I do with this truck? Does this qualify as a lemon?

I think it depends on what state you live in. In my state the dealer has 3 chances to repair the issues before it is eligible to be a lemon.

Im in CA. 4 attempts here. I like the truck and am all about giving chances, but I am at my boiling point.

try a 3'ed dealer and have them also change out the rotor's with the pad's,might be possible the one that pull's was not heat treated right and is softer making it grab more than the other side,a long shot but possible.

There is no 3rd dealer within 30 miles of me. And telling them what to replace is pretty much worthless.

I just picked up a 2008 Expedition on 07-11-07 and have less then 2k miles on it and also notice an intermittent pull to the left from the brakes while braking from higher speeds, it gets worse if you are pulling a trailer.

I feel for you. I have my 5th appointment tomorrow. I spoke to another service manager and he has not heard of pulling from the newer Expeditions. Hopefully they can figure something out. If they do I will of course post what was fixed.

After you drive a bit check the wheel temperature with your hand and see if the rear left is not hotter than the rest. It was in my case.

SOunds like they arent trying very hard to find the problem, it could only be so many things.. Regardless, just keep leaving it there until it is fixed or becomes lemon eligible.

When I take off from a rolling start it seems to start off in 2nd, then shifts back to first.
