I'm on the coast (Lower Mainland)... sorry for not replying sooner but I was away quadding for a couple weeks. Back at work now, unfortunately.

If it's on the Saturday I will do my best to make it. I'll probably head up on Friday after work, and will stay overnight in Lumby.

To get to Kelowna from the coast, most likely the Coquihalla to Merritt, then up 97C.

I won't be able to make it, as I have to work Saturdays.

Ya that is the route I figured most would take. Just was wondering if anyone was going to take the scenic route.

We'll see tho, sounds like you can only make it for the morning of the 15th then hey?
Arent those pick a part places great. The one in Kelowna has some pretty decent stuff although it seems like every time I go there half the stock is different.
I remember the first pick a part I went to was in Edmonton. I took both daughters and my wife cause I thought it was the coolest place on earth. Of course I took them on seperate trips. For some reason they didn't seem quite as excited as me.

Well, if they want to add 3 hours to the trip, sure, why not?

From White Rock to Kelowna, 3 1/2 hours. Haven't done Cloverdale to Kelowna, but I'm sure it's the same. Closer to the highway, but from White Rock, we'd go out to Abbotsford and get on at Mt Lehman. Where we are now, we'd just get on at 176th.

From White Rock to Princeton is 3 1/2 by itself, then on to Kelowna. Haven't been that way in probably 20 years. How long does it take from there? And how long to Kamloops from Princeton?

Mt. Lehman Rd. I know that area very well. My grand parents lived there for years. My godfather had the service station at that intersection although it has been gone for several years now.

Princeton to Kelowna is about 2 hours if we take 97C and about 21/2 if we go through Penticton. Kamloops is somewhere between 2 and 21/2 hours.

My wifes grandparents lived in Cloverdale. I lived in Newton until I was 14, we moved in 74. We lived on 68th ave.

No kidding.

We're about a half mile east of 176th, a dog leg off 68th.

We drove past your godfather's service station all the time. Haven't been that way in about a year, (since we moved from White Rock) but last I saw it, the building was still there. Don't know about now though.

Sounds like you moved before I was a twinkle in my dad's eye.

Ya I'm almost getting to be an old fart . I used to know the area quite well. I used to travel down there often to visit. We used to fish in the Serpentine river. In the winter we would head down to the flats and play hockey when they froze over.
