Reliable Ford Dealer

I need to find a reliable Ford dealer to tear into my motor, when I changed my oil last I tapped on the bottom of the pan with a wrench and heard a peice of metal rattling around. I bought the truck used from MJ Sullivan in New London and was "given" an aftermarket warranty. On paper the warranty looks great, but once you call and speak with them its a differnt story, the warranty company that is. So I need a ford dealer who knows diesels and will do the work under warranty. Thanks, Adam

I live in S.Windsor, but driving to a good place is not a problem. The only reason I want to get it done under warranty is because theres only a $100 deductable, and the motor needs to be pulled to remove the oil pan on a PSD which costs $$$. I dont mind doing the work myself, I have the equipment just trying to save some time, and money. Im going to call Gabrielli Trucks in the morning thanks.

It might be the tappet from the lift pump that dropped down into the pan. That would mean they had to replace your lift(fuel) pump at one point or another. Just in case you didn't know, your lift pump is right on top of your motor. When you remove it you have to be sure the tappet comes out with the pump, otherwise it will fall into the block.
