I wish I could give you answers, but I honestly have a no clue. I just know that you will have one hell of a time finding someone to do this exhaust work seeing how it is illegal. But I'm sure a little creativity could get you a straight exhaust.
Head west Bring a translator and cash , Tons of places will do it no problem. lol
Doing the jobs americans won't do.
Dealer didnt notice exhaust mods. Warranty'd the head gasket issue. When the heads were mated to the block, the head gasket got pinched. Havent changed the box yet. Dont think my kwik filter is gonna fit like it did on my 7.3 so Im gonna stick with the stock for now til i figure out how to cram that filter under the hood

Did you just have new pipes made from the DPF back? Can you just get a piece of pipe to put in place of the DPF? I was thinking that you might be able to get a DPF back kit like MBRP's and remove the DPF and pipe the new kit in place of the DPF. Would that work?

How did the techs not hear that your truck was straight-piped? I wish all dealers would just fix the problem no questions asked and then "not notice" when a brand new straight-piped truck shows up.
I kinda figure that just about anything do I will have the potential to void the warranty. I was just trying to figure out an easy way to do it, achieve the results, but be able to put it back to stock (just in case).

The truck isnt loud at idle with it straight piped. its actually not noticeable at all. Besides were takin about some lowly stealership mechanincs with grade A GED educations. Anything outta the ordinary they wouldn't notice even if i told them lol. (The lowly mechanic stealership comment only applies to my local dealership so all other ford techs take no offense to the previous comment.)

Oh, that makes sense. It's even better if the truck is quiet at idle, and (I would assume) sounds pretty darn good under throttle?
Man the more the I think about your truck the more my mouth waters. Have you thought about or actually put up a video on youtube? I'd be real interested in seeing/hearing your truck.
The techs were preoccupied thinking about the possibility of removing the cab to look at the back end. I assume they had to yank your cab. Did you watch? How long did it really take?
