5.4 hop up

Hi all.. I have a 2002 F150 F150 Supercab flare side FX4 5.4 auto 3.55 gears and 49000 miles.

. I am tire of the umph it has and want to hop it up.. does anyone have any proven profiles and or sugestions to get some horsepower out of this engine.

Thanks, NavyFlyer

A tuner and Efans are the best thing, then there are lots of other bolt on things you can do to add little amounts of power. You could re-gear but that would be pricey for the little bit of gain and worsened mileage.

check out a few sigs on here, theres quite a few with the same mods and different brands of components, Ive had the K&N FIPK air kit and K&N exhaust on mine since almost new got it as a supercombo sale!!since then several good co has evolved, I was young and dumb and had money to spend when I got my truck back in 01, And the most change i noticed was when i added the superchip on performance mode and 93 gass
truck has more power and gets better milage than runing the 87 octane, If I was like you and needed a starting point I would outfit my truck like Lexman has his, Ive spoke to him in a few pm's and hes really happy with the setup, theres so many ways it would be cool to be able to try a product and then swap out if needed before a purchase.

Sorry NavyFlyer I never really checked fuel mileage before or after.. really was never concerned bout it, not saying that I have money to throw away I certainly don't. The reason I bought my first truck was for the sound and the power, gas to me is a necessity not a problem to try to keep in check BUT since you asked I,m gonna go fill her up and count the kilometers... Ill keep you posted

Yea.

Volant CAI
SCT XCal II (hand held tuner) from a local or semi-local tuner
JBA 1 5/8" headers
True dual 2.5" exhaust with high-flow cats and aftermarket mufflers
4.10 gears
Precision Industries Stallion torque converter with 2,800 rpm stall speed PLUS aftermarket trans pan and 32,000 GVWR plate type cooler.
If you have the 4R70W trans do the Jerry-mod to go with your SCT Tuner. ( http://www.tccoa.com/articles/tranny/shiftybusiness.html)
Electric fans.

Truck should run it's *** off. Plus those mods would all compliment a blower if you get bored with that setup.
