AC Going out or normal operation?

AC Going out or normal operation?
Hello all.
I have an 05 F150 Super Cab (The one with the back seat and the 1/2 door, sorry I get them confused) with about 30k miles on it.
First off the ac doesn’t seem to be that cool. I have tried suggestions found on here of not using the max setting with recalculate on and it was better. But now what I am experiencing is that while driving or sitting at a light, the air would go warm and moist like the ac just kicked off. It will stay off for 30-45 seconds and then kick back on.
I heard that they were shipped with varying levels of coolant so I am not sure if I need to go ahead and have it looked at or is this normal.
Thanks in advance for your time!

I would deff. get it checked out by a mechanic. I know most a/c pumps have a saftey in them that will stop the clutch from running when low on refridge or oil. It might just be on the borderline thats why it only stops for a short time. I would say just fill it up with some refridge that you can buy at any auto parts store if its r-34a but if there is a leak you would just be throwing your money away. Good luck with it.

Could be low freon tripping the low pressure cut out switch - that would explain a number of things, but definitely have it looked at under warranty.
Also i'm a bit confused on the "not using max setting with recirculate"
The maximum cooling will be when you set the AC to "MAX" - which automatically kicks in the recirculate. This is also identical to running in "normal" with the recirculate manually turned on.
The air might get a little colder with the fan turned down, but the maximum "btu's" of cooling should be with the fan on high and AC set to MAX of manually on recirculate.

Thanks!
Thanks for all the advice. I will have it looked at soon.
I read on here that some people reported better cooling not on max but with recirculate manually turned on. I did not notice a difference.
Tomorrow I want to do some temperature readings of my own at various times either idling and while driving for my own curiosity.
I will let you know what the service department says.

My 07 a/c acts strange too.Sometimes it starts blowing warm air then goes back to cold.I have a thermometer in the vent and it usually reads 38*,but it sure don't feel that cold.I have 5% tint on all my windows so the sun coming in is ruled out.My old 97 F150 a/c would blow so cold I could hang meat in it.
I have an oil change coming up soon so i'll ask them (Ford dealer) to look at it.
