A 302 bored .30 over = what?

If you bore a standard 302 block .30 over...is it a 306?

If not, then what size is it (in cubic inches)?

Thanks!
Scott

Is there a chart or formula somewhere to determine this? The guy who is disputing this will require some solid evidence....

TIA,
Scott

mprice is starting off with a positive reputation.
Engine Volume:

Bore Area (Pi R^2) * Stroke * Cylinders

302:
4.0" Bore, 3.0" Stroke

Bore Area = 2^2*Pi = 12.5664

12.5664 * 3 * 8 = 301.594

Bored .30 Over:

(2.15^2 * Pi) * 3 * 8 = 348.528

But, I am guessing you really meant .030 over:
(2.015^2 * Pi) * 3 * 8 = 306.134

Unless I am not understanding what you mean by .30 over then that would be a 349.

What would a 460 bored .060 over equate to?

TIA,
Scott

Stock 460:
Bore - 4.36
Stroke - 3.85

Bored .060 over:
Bore - 4.42

(2.21^2 * Pi) * 3.85 * 8 = 472.592 (472 or 473 - your choice)

385seriesHemi is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
The other displacement formula is Bore x bore x stroke x .7854 x #of cylinders
