Can the Tow Command system be retro-fitted to the 2004 SD/CC/SWB/6.0

NO--There is another thread within the past day on this. If you need a trailer brake controler get a Tekonsha Prodigy. Very easy to hook up since the wiring is already there under the dash and probably the best rated on the market for ease of use and reliability.

Just out of curiosity do you know if it is because the newer Super Duties have a different master brake cylinder (due to the larger brakes), or limitations within the ECM/PCM?

It's a limitation with the body computer, not the PCM.

Okay you lost me. What is a "body computer"? I thought the 6.0 only had a PCM, FICM and TCM.

Those three are all that run the powertrain, but there is a body computer that controls many things that are not part of the powertrain, such as the trailer brake, interior lights, instruments, etc.

Please enlighten me as to the location of the "body computer" on the 03-07 F250/350 SD. All of the 03-07 SD i have had apart and all of the factory service manuals & wiring diagrams only show a PCM, FICM & TCM.
The PCM controls and talks to the FICM, TCM, trailer brake controller, lights, gauge cluster etc.

It's right next to the muffler bearings.

Either way the computer systems in the pre 05 trucks cannot be made to talk to the integrated trailer brake controller.
