Circuit breaker keeps blowing power windows.2002 excursion

I need some help guys,I have a 2002 ford excursion 7.3.My power windows all quit working. at first I thought it was just one window, but I was incorrect.I changed the window circuit breaker in the fuse panel, it worked all the windows for about 5 minutes, then it blew again. I know it is not the motors, because all the windows worked when I changed out the breaker. But now they don't work again. What could be blowing the circuit breaker? I did not find a fuse in that panel which worked for the windows just the circuit breaker. I have searched this forum for window problems but found nothing similiar.Any help would be appreciated.

Circuit breaker, fuse...same thing right? Real circuit breakers are resettable, fuses are one time use. What exactly did you change out? What was the position number in the fuse box?

Once you changed it out and got the windows working, which window were you using when the fuse (relay?) blew again?

Have you done any repairs or alterations to the control assy on the driver's door? Have you removed that assembly and inspected for wear, crossed wires, foreign objects, water intrusion etc. etc. You could pull the wire connector off to do a lot of that.

Thanks for the help,I believe the breaker was number 601 in the fuse panel,I purchased the breaker form Ford,it blew within 5 minutes after I installed it. At the time all windows operated perfectly therefore all windows quit working again.I have never had any power window issue therefore no work has ever been done,I have owned the truck since new.I checked under the hood and did not find ay other fuses,am I missing something???i did not find a fuse for the windows just the circuit breaker???

As far as I know the circuit breakers are self resetting ones, so you really shouldn't have had to replace it. A lot of fuses aren't labeled for everything that runs off them. You really almost need to check them all, unless you have a wiring schematic. Are there any other items not working right? I know I blew a fuse that was labeled for the instrument panel, and my windows, radio, and vanity mirrors lost power. The instrument panel worked fine though. Luckily my cousin had access to the wiring schematic and was able to figure it out.
