I just noticed the welds on the a pillars. It really looks good. I like the all black version. It is subtle, but speaks for itself. I like stuff you have to look at awhile to really notice the differences. It truly is impressive.

thanks... thats the idea. hopefully when its sectioned no one will notice the chop or the body section because of the proportions being the same as stock but just shorter..

not trying to disrespect you (i love the project, toyota or ford) please tell me you plug/rosett welded those multipul tube splices(i hope they are tube splices and not butt welds). also i see a node or two that look like they could move an inch and a half to be on top of each other just for streangth, but the needed position could be wrong.

now i have never built a 2wd frame or a lowrider frame. i kinda stick to rock crawler cages

the project looks bad ass. there are a few (a lot) that think because you have an old ford it should be old. some of us kinda like to see these old slicks looking as good as some of those pee wee herman bow ties.

the splices your talking about i think theres only two there at the back they are non structure joints we only did that to make a cool spot for the batterys they dont hold the frame just tie in to it,as for the node you see i have no idea what your talking about, this is only part of the double frame rails and the rest is still being done, maybe after the rest is done, and the upper frame rails are in place it will make sence and look right once you see it complete.

Sorry to have touched on a sore spot.. He had a few words with a friend of mine who shot his truck and put it in print, and it escalated from there. I seriously doubt he will ever get any Mag coverage in the future...Never gnaw off the hand that feeds ya...

I know what you mean on the time. I only get to work on My Uni project on Saturdays at IC, and have my hands full bidding and procuring work for the mechanical contractor i work for during the week.

ya i heard he complained all over the place, i personally thought that cct did a great job and wrote a beautiful feature, and barbees doll is a bitchin title...he got a really bad wrap on a few websites and in media relations as well because of it.. his take was that the mag should be lucky theycould cover his truck, when in reality its a known fact that its an honor, ive got a cover coming out next month on minitruckin magazine and i couldnt be more delighted, i couldnt give two ****s no matter what they call it, its a great honor and pat on the back to be recognized for your hard work with a cover shot.... mark barbee is a good example of heads that dont fit through doorways...

sorry i came off as an *******, for some reason i was thinking the tube splices were structural. as for the nodes i was thinking along the lines of roll cages and was thinking about something completely different than what you have going on there. sweet truck, keep up the good work.

just found this build and wanted to say good fab work so far. and looking forward for more updates on what you have done. your truck is going to be a bullet with that little supra in it. oh ya i like that red with black strip rendering looks more like a sport truck then a custom hot rod. but that's my .02 worth.
