question about 4.0 L SOHC

Recently acquired a 2000 xlt.When did Ford fix the cassette problem?
If ever.If not how can I find out if the tsb corrections were applied?
This vehicle replaces a '99 Ranger xlt that was totalled.I had no problems
with the truck and never heard of these problems until I got the Explorer.
Low mileage on both-53k on the Ranger,46k on the Ex
