Some of both. I plan to add headers and an Edelbrock 750 electric choke.

For performance, I'd suggest getting the 750 Edelbrock with a manual choke and then converting it to electric choke. It's cheaper first off and second it's calibrated for performance. Your 460 will need the extra fuel. It'll cost you mileage, maybe ever so slightly, but who drives a big block for the mileage??

You just buy the electric choke kit and then install it. The instuctions are with it and they are "okay". It took me about 25-30 minutes to convert it over. I could probably do another one in 10 minutes now that I have done one. I think the differnce in mileage would be at best maybe 1/2 mpg. Not worth it to me.

A while back I built a 460 and this is what it looked like:
.040 over cast stock replacement pistons.
Competitions Cams 268H grind.
Hedman Headers.
Old Weiand intake (looked like Edelbrock Performer).
Holley Quadrajunk replacement vacuum secondary carb.
I was running 33 inch BF Goodrich tires and 3.73 gears in a 1978 F150 2WD, C6 and positrak. It had a nice rumble, got about 14 mpg (better than my 2001 5.4!) and would light up when I tromped on it at about 20 mph. It was great except that the tranny blew and the dumb bunnies that were at the trans shop couldn't rebuild it worth a d###. Anyhoo, I think something like this would work for you if you got a stouter tranny built from an aftermarket group. You might not need it though, since my tranny saw some river water before the engine was rebuilt and never worked right after that.
