Can anyone help with determining if my 2006 F150 4.6l STX is a 22m or 3/4" thread pattern for the oil filter. I need to change my oil and I'm tired of taking it to the dealership. Thanks.

 

Using Motorcraft's online catalog, it says the FL400S filter is for 3/4" stud engines "w/ engine code 16V", and the FL820S is for anything else.

What filter is currently on the truck?

dont forget to get standard thread. I think frick I got my wires crossed I cant recall if its standard or metric I think the part number is ph1. Its the bigger one of the two. (metric and standard) Just find both of them at o'rielly's and witch ever one is bigger is the one you need.
