looking for an 07 expy

The wife and I are in the market for a new expedition. We were wondering if there are any problems that you have had, heard or known TSB or recalls for them. I greatly appreciate the help in advance...

We are looking at the XLT or eddie bauer EL 4x4.

I have had a 2007 Expedition 4x4 Eddie Bauer non EL with all the bells, whistles and Trailer tow package for two weeks and so far other than a strange transmission shifting problem that I am going to have the dealer look at, it has operated real well and drives just like a station wagon. I don't know if I would get all the extras, but it came with them at no extra charge. The one extra I did not request, but got is the Sirris radio. This is really great as it has all the old time radio shows. As for gas mileage, well it is a SUV so...

One other thing

If you plan on parking your Expedition in a garage, measure your garage first.
I have a duplex and the normal Expedition fits, but a EL would not fit with out leaving the garage door open so I lucked out with the non EL. These newer homes that list a "two car Garage" means only if you have two VW rabbitts. other wise they are a big one car garage.

Also check the height of your garage. We traded a 2WD Suburban for an 07 2WD Expy (regular length). The Suburban fit fine but on the Expy the garage door opener catches the roof rack. Had to do some rework on the opener to get the truck in the garage. And the Expy seems to be the same length as the Suburban.

These new Expy's are tall and long.

The things I recall about mine as well as others are

1) Wind noise.
2) Tranny fumbling from a rolling start in 1st to 2nd gear
3) Cross winds move some around a bit

There are TSB's on the first two.
