I know I'm several weeks behind this post, but it is exactly the same situation I have. I use my 2002 F250 CC PSD for towing a car trailer and daily driving. I've got my son's car seat in back and it's a tough for the wife to lift him up in there. If the truck was a couple inches lower it would be a little better. I need 4x4 for the occasional midwest winters and to climb the steep grades on my property, but don't need all of the ground clearance. You mentioned installing Excursion springs. I'm assuming this would be 2x4 EX springs and not 4x4, right? If you know of anyone that has their stock springs available, I'm interested.
