Even though I agree with you redford, I read the TSB from Ford on how to correct the sag to one side of the truck. Ford says to install a 1/4" or 1/2" shim block in addition to the original blocks. I guess they think it's safe? *shrug*
There is a big difference between a 1/2 inch shim and 2 one inch plates......like 1 1/2 inches!
Today I went on the search for some F350 blocks. The first place had none. The place had 3 different F350's and each had a different sized block. I stopped at the dealer and asked about blocks and they listed the same part# for the 250 and 350. I went to another wrecker and they had none. I ended up getting a set of F250 blocks. The reason for this, my truck had no blocks. I have been under a few trucks and mine many times and just couldn't put my finger on it but something just didn't look right.
Hopefully the 250 blocks will sit the back end where I want it. I couldn't find and 350 blocks within 2 hrs. of home. The dealer wanted $108 per block.
Well I got some ubolts made up. They ran me $91.00 and change. Turns out I don't have the stock springs. The spring guy said something about a dumptruck after looking at the springs. Monday will be install day.
All done with my block install. It looks much better. I just need to trim the ubolts some. They are a little heavier stock than the ones I took out. I even rotated the tires since the back end was up in the air.
