Question 01 Ranger Clutch Pedal Rubber Stop P/N

I'm looking for a part number for the rubber stop that mounts behind the clutch pedal on the firewall for a 2001 Ford Ranger 4cyl 2.3L 5spd Manual. Can't seem to find it on the web. It looks like it snaps/presses into a mounting hole behind the pedal. The original one decided to disintigrate and now I get a nice knocking noise when ever the pedal is depressed.

Thanks,
Michael

I've got the same issue with mine. The only thing I was able to find was a Brake Pedal Bushing from NAPA part number: BK 6151169. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive.

You could take a length of thick heater hose or garden hose for that matter, and slice it longitudinally. Spread the slice, and slip it over the clutch pedal arm, at a place where it would cushion the contact with the floorboard/firewall. That would get you past the clunk stage until you get a more permanent fix.

On mine, No. It's the cushion that the pedal hits against when it's pushed to the firewall.

The good news is that the part number is 2455.

The bad news is that it's attached to the brake and clutch pedal assembly. 95 bucks at amazon.

Amazon.com: 6L5z2455bb Pedal Assembly - Brake Oem Ford: Automotive

Zoom in on the picture and you can see the round black stop underneath the clutch pedal arm.

I'm not going to suggest that you order the part, remove the stop and return the assembly with out it. No way I would do that, if you know what I mean.
