My 2005 Ranger 4X4 won't rev past 3000 RPM. At a standstill, with the tranny in Park, when I rev up, the tach stops at 3000, and the engine starts to buck. Anyone know, does Ford program the chips, so we can't rev up too high? I might need extra RPMs to get out of a mudhole, or a snowdrift, or the hole I'm in, in a drag race.
Thanks,
