Talking Post your Critterz

Who's got Critterz? Pets, wildlife, rats, all the fauna on your own place. I love my critters, even when I'm cursing them. They're always happy and ready to eat!

800 pixels maximum width I posted...

I tried to get a gallery set up so I can add pet pics, but the system seems to be working a bit odd right now. I have had issues with making posts, creating a gallery, and using links. My guess is that the website is being worked on. Anyways, great idea having a critter page.

Five month old blue heeler/aussie/husky/black lab mix, named Kolbengas.

Four month old Akita/yellow lab mix, named Keiko.

As a reminder, it is preferable to post links instead of pics, to keep server loads down.

"Five month old blue heeler/aussie/husky/black lab mix, named Kolbengas". Lol, thought I had trouble with my mixed breed Blondie - Malemute mother, probably Shepherd sire, and the vet and animal control said it was probably a dual-impregnated embryo with a Coyote. The neighbors say it's a wolf hybrid, but that'd be illegal (and stupid of me).

Kolbengas an interesting name...the only translation i could find for that was German "piston-gas" (??)
Your dawgs look like sweethearts; i raise friendly dawgs too.

Roger that -- animal pictures could get to be a huge thread fast. There's more to a server than just storage space.

Jared, I hope you're also a Mod for this Washington Chapter?

Actually, there's a rough translation to "buttgas". Basically, his name is Fart, since he spent the first couple weeks bombing us out of the house. Still does it on occasion, too.
Not a mod in here, I was thinking about it, but not sure.......

"Buttgas", i luv it! Typical Lab trait, like our SBD Lab-Weiller mutt.

Wish you would. If we get busy again we'll need a full-timer

I don't know if that is necessarily a lab trait. I have a boxer, that can put out some 'silent killers'. You don't hear a thing, but start looking around. Finally you notice he is quietly laying behind the recliner you are sitting in.

I guess Zach is OK as a guard dog, but the 30/30 is still going to stay locked and loaded by my bedside

We actually downsized on animals during our move up here...

Before: 2 Llamas, 3 pot bellie pigs, one obnoxious duck, a very dumb and hard to catch sheep, a minature goat that thought it was a great dane, a great dane that thought a goat was cute, 3 heinz57 dogs, a blind pekinese that snored like hec and thought she was the badest thing on the planet. an assortment of ducks, geese and yardbirds (aka as chickens in the south).

Basically we worked with various animal resue places and were foster parents for many different animals

Today: We are down to two brendle dogs, a cat and a few dead rats (Courtesy of The F150 Exterminator)

Well if my granddaughter keeps letting these two out together, I might have a few to give away.

That was a LOT of critterz you had; I let the wild beasts use my 8 acres as a sanctuary too. What a coincidence about your rescue work -- Donna has worked at the Whidbey Animal Improvement Shelter for 8 years, it's a dog and cat pound that adopts out. A minimal-kill facility and they're overloaded with 95 cats and 28 dogs looking for homes.

btw, Your dogs don't look comfortable enough.

Who Trains Who?

I think I want to be a dog in my next life. I'd be willing to wag my tail, lick a face and even sit when told, in exchange for free room and board, not to mention have seven days a week off from work... Who is really the boss?

Isn't that the one by Coupeville? Ive been in there a few times looking for a dog. Now my landlord decided to say no pets!!! I wish I could break the lease on this place to get in base housing so I could have a dog!
