It is a diy low buck filter. It is a napa #6637 filter that can be adapted to the 7.3 motor. The 7.3 has a very crappy factory air box and this is a cheap way to get better air flow to clear the way for more power. There are 6 liter guys that make a lot of power with the stock air box and an aftermarket one is considered to be a waste of money by some. I think the 6.4 uses the same box.

Stock boxes are good on these trucks but open element filters will always flow more air.
