Loose engine building

I need some advice on an engine Im workin on for my demolition derby car. When I put it back together Im going to give some extra thousandths clearance on the mains, rods and rings. This is done so that when the engine gets hot it wont seize, plus it allows a bit more RPM.

Has anyone here ever done this before? Anyone have a clue as to how many thousandths extra is a good idea and how many is too much?

Thanks

Yes I run the h***X bearing In my pulling truck Motors there only and xtra .001 clearance. But you better look at increasing your oil pump bypass a little cuz you'll lose some on your oil pressure with the xtra clearance.
