is a 97 4.0L SOHC?

I found out they put both OHV and SOHC in, in 97. The one I looked at was a SOHC

Nice, I couldn't remember which one was in that year. I knew that the switch happened around 96, but didn't want to shoot my mouth off giving you bad info.

dybeepvw is starting off with a positive reputation.
I was told that Ford used the OHV engine thru the 2000 year model, but they seem to be hard to find in an Explorer.
