I dont think you should have much problems. You should have the power needed, and I would say at most you MAY need an equalizer hitch.

Make sure you drop it into second if your heading up steep inclines/declines and don't use the overdrive.

I have been out a few times but have not taken up any big hills yet. We are leaving for the Oregon coast next sat for a week.

Just keep an eye on your hitch weight. They are pretty sticky about that in BC.

I never even thought of that. I wonder if they have a way to weigh it by the side of the road? Like if the sticker saying the hitch weight accidently got torn off

do the police actually pull you over if they feel that your hitch weight is more than the class you have? What do they and how do they test it.

Sorry if i hijacked the thread...it's something i have never heard of.

It is DOT. They have scales and all sorts of things. They have lots of fairly restrictive rules. I believe you have to have a daully to pull a tri axle trailer. I have seen 1/2 tons on tow trucks with 2 sleds on the back because they were overloaded.

If you look at the payload specs on an F-150 they can legally only pack about 1800lbs. Two big sleds, a sled deck, all your gear. It does'nt take long to add up.
