We were heading southbound on RT and just passed exit 19... The guy was on the entrance ramp with his lights off and came up by rear end. We were going to get off exit 17 to go to the E.R. because my close buddy, who was the passenger in my car, his brother broke his hand that night in 3 different places. His brother WAS going to attend the Nationals for bowling next month (in Reno, NV) but this isnt going to happen. He jammed his hand in one of the machines while working at the alley. Anyways, long story short, he said to slow down. A young guy, prob one of many new recruits for the highway police dept.

P.S. The court dropped my first ticket. Lawyer, my alumni, quoted me $900 for both tickets and since I only have to deal with one now, hopefully ill be around $450 before fines/donations. Thanks guys

Didn't get pulled over but was "approached" by a new youg town cop where I went to college. I bought beer for this kid(before he was 21) as we were in the same dorm and partied together. He pulled up next to me and said "didn't know you had this car" and also hinted that I should slow down. It was in that "mightier than thou" attitude. He couldn't even talk normal to me....

Have you CT guys voted on this most important matter? If not, FYI you are about to lose your chapter status.

It is in your hands so vote! https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...-to-merge.html

haha lawyers, i did not have one on wed when i went to court for speeding. I got the max fine of $150 and $144 in court fees. The judge also asked if i had a death wish because i am only 18 Y/o.

ticket $150

court fee's $144

doing 83MPH in a 35 priceless.

i know it was a bad idea. damn avon cops got about half way to him from where i started when i saw him and was like sht. i think it also help that my spedo only goes to 85.

how were you doing 83 in a 35?

Also, why on Earth would you represent yourself without any previous experience?.......

how, the pedal was to the floor and i had like 1 mile to get up to speed.

why no lawyer, well hell if u were 18 and u know u were way over the limit and was like im fcked and loosing the lic. it's 2.5x the posted limit u think i would be walking away. I was getting ready to ride my bike to work. you know how much of a shock it would be to do that speed and only get a fine?

I was thinking i was done so why spend $ on a lawyer when i have like no chance so might as well save it and pay court fees and fines up the butt and then on the new insurence.

Good luck paying for insurnace premiums for the next 5 years! Do the math, it would have saved you $$$ by trying to save yourself rather than taking the maximum hit.
