2006 F150 Keyless entry code

I have seen alot of different posts on this but still have been unable to determine where the 5 digit code for my keyless entry is located. Has anyone with a 06 F150 actually located it? Any details would be great, I hate paying for things like this......

On a scab or a screw it is on the module behind the rear seat back mounted on the back wall of the cab.On a regular cab the module is in the side panel behind the drivers seat.
When you bought your truck they should have given you a card w/ the 5 digit code on it.However they didn't give me one for my 06.I guess they figured I didn't need it because my truck didn't have a keypad.I added new door handles with a keypad so I had to remove the rear seatback to get the code.

My F150 is a SCREW

So unfortunately it does look like I either have to tackle taking the rear seats out of a new truck or pay $40 to have the code read by Ford.

I do know a mechanic with a computer that would probably do it for free if his computer would do it. Does it have to be a FORD computer to get the code or would any mechanic that can read engine code be able to do this?

Did they quote you $40?I've heard some dealerships want $80 -$100 to retrieve the code.

Try looking under the drivers side dash and may be on a white sticker on one of the fuse covers. Was in that location on my 2003 Expedition.

In my situation, I found the keyless entry code printed a card, about the same size as a playing card, which was initially stored in one of the business-card pockets of the operators-guide binder.

It is a factory keyless enrty code I am after. I have looked under the dash, nothing.
Yes, the Ford dealer has quoted $40 to do the code read. This truck is 9 months old and I am the 2nd owner, so the card in the owners manual was probably there for the 1st owner but you know how that goes.....Thanks to all hopefully this will all work out.

It's not too difficult to remove the seatback.I used the method used in the link below. Some people stick a screwdriver betwen the seat cushions and push on the clips to release them.I prefer the reach around method used in the link.

I have an O6 also with out a Keypad and want to do the same thing you did.
One dealer told me I couldn't and had to buy one of the new wireles that you stick on.
What did you have to do to install the keypad?

06 f150 Mark LT door Handles w/Keypad

Nassty,
The dealer told me I couldn't do what you have done. Something about replacing the security module for $600, reinstalling and programming( more $s).
They said I should buy one of the new wireless keypads to install for $130.

How did you install the door handles?
Did you run into any problems?
How did you activate the keypad?

Any guidance woudl be appreciated!

Vaughnr007 Send your VIN with a return e=mail address to https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ember&u=406391 FTE parts guy and ask nicely for a build sheet. If you explain what you are trying to do he can tell you if you can add the keypad as you want to. If you do need any parts talk to him about prices.

I'm not 100% on this myself. you guys do some mods that until I read it here I didn't even know it would work. I think if nassty chips in with a little more info getting the parts is not the issue, it's how did he get it to work, took it to dealer and have the module reprogramed? was the loom for the keypad there so all you had to do was plug it in? etc

Take the driverside door panel off to see if the plug for the keypad is there. If the plug is there it should be plug and play,as long as you know the 5 digit code.If you have an XLT the wiring should be there for a keypad. If you have an XL or a STX I can't say for sure?

I used this write up to install my handles. > http://www.f150online.com/forums/200...de-w-pics.html
