I usually use NAPA for distributor caps and such. Since I've been driving a Nissan for the last couple years, I've been using NGK spark plugs. What plugs work best in a FI big-block? I used to use split fires in my muscle cars with some success, but haven't had good results with them in modern 4-bangers and V6s. Ditto with platinums.
My truck has only 42,000 miles on it, what components should I be replacing?
Also, any relatively cheap way to make the ignition burn a little hotter, like adding an MSD Blaster coil?

 

I've used them all, and I have found that Motorcraft perform as well as any of them do. The only thing you can do to get more performance out of your spark plugs is to gap them over, say .050".
