Any readers/ subscribers to muscle mustangs and fast fords magazine?
Reason I ask is until recently I was unaware of such a magazine and after many years of reading the usual truck/car mag I found it unbelievably nice to read about fords. Although my interest lies greatly in the 351w motor and while it is few and far between there is mention of these motors in the magazine. Here is my problem and maybe you can help, the issue I purchased this month for the first time had an article on efi motor dyno proven combo's and as luck would have it I am more interested in carbed engines and in the article it menitoned that last month they did such an article on carbed motors. Would it be possible for someone to give me the spec's and results they may have written on the 351 motor in this dyno proven article as well as the 392/393 or any other stroker combination involving the 351? Maybe scan it and send it to my e-mail any help appreciated, trying to keep from spending 10+ dollars on a back issue just to gain access to one article
My e-mail is kjmwtt(No Email Addresses In Posts!) again, I appreciate any help given

My main distaste towards MM&FF is the tactless display of sub-standard groupies posing on the cars. As far as I can tell (and I end up reading almost every issue), MM&FF is simply the official publication of the domestic rice boy. Yes, even good 'ol Fords are not invicable to non-technical, hype-oriented, sticker-sportin, rap blaring, bleach haired wannabe super race car driver tuff guys. I'm very fond of this group as you can tell.
You sound like someone who's actually interested in REALLY going faster (not just looking like it), and having a more reliable, more efficient setup. I'd recommend Car Craft, they specialize in budget performance. Every 2 or three months, they blow it and feature a $10,000 rat motor, but overall it's good reading. It is about 60% Chevy, but when they do features on Fords, they're always good technical reading. If you want a great, great article on 302 roller cams and intakes, the November 2001 issue was the best ever, they dyno'd two different Xtreme Energy cams, and worked them with Edelbrock's Performer, RPM Air Gap, and Victor Jr carbed intakes. Not really what you were after, but that's just an example of what they're usually working on. I am fabulously entertained once a month when they publish the "ins" and "outs" list, it's Car Guy humor, you'd definately enjoy it. I got a 2 year subscription for $15, so it's pretty cheap too. Good luck finding the article you need!

i have to agree with the post above about the tendency MM&FF has toward doing features on riced-out 'stangs that are all show & no go, or if they DO go, it's because the owner spent more on pistons than i have on my whole motor, and more on the motor than i make in a year, and they're STILL not too much faster than me - domestic rice with "stand WAY back and throw money at it" mechanical skills!
BUT - i have to say that they do have some good tech articles in there too, and it's a good source for general info on "what's out there" and how much it costs. basically, i browse it in the store and buy it if there is some tech stuff i'm interested in. i check prices in the ads, then see if i can get the parts cheaper on the internet...
