Thumbs up Newbie- just got a 2005 Navigator

Thanks in advance...well after about 3 weeks of searching ended up buying from a local dealer - Costa Mesa Merc/Lincoln delership. I searched high and low, ebay wholesalers out of Texas to Minnasota...I was willing to fly and drive but at the end I feel I got a smoking deal locally and from a dealership so I got a certified w/ 7rs-75k mile extra warranty.

I have jumped around from car to car this past 1.5 yrs..wife says I am having my mid-life crises..maybe but now I have settled down and got a Lincoln.

I was looking to spend around $30k +/- $5k ....new I wanted an 2005 and up obvious reasons..tranny and motor...and just couldn't pass this one up at $30K + TTL, certified with the 7/75 warranty and only 25k miles. Black with grey. Chrome wheels.clean clean clean.....no nav or entertainment or HIDs, which is the most important of the 3 the HIDs. Any ideas on how to upgrade to HIDS???

Congrats on the purchase!

I bought a kit from Ebay for my 1st gen Navi, single beam only, was about 130 bucks with shipping, of course, made in China. The ballast and bulb look like good quality pieces, but the plugs look kinda cheesy. Neverthe less, I've had them for about 4 months, no problems to report per se, but the odd thing is, if I use autolamp, only the right headlight works. Turn autolamp off, turn the lights on manually, and they both come on. I have no idea how the hell that happens, but to me its a small inconvenience vs being able to see at night.

Just my .02

You don't have to buy aftermarket. You can buy the OEM HID. Check out ebay. I had an 06 that I bought OEM HID on ebay. I paid about $300 + ship for the pair. I do have one side (I forgot which one, but I can check) if you're interested. I have an 07 Tundra now but planning to trade it in for an 07 Navi ASAP. Enjoy your Navi.

I do have an OEM navigation unit that I'll list on ebay for $500.
