Long weekend travel

I went from McNeill to Williams lake and back this weekend.I was lucky at the Ferrys.I had no sailing waits and the weather was good. The only problem was the sea to sky highway. It took me over an hour to get from the ferry to Squamish and this was at 11pm thursday.Hope you all had a good long weekend

Man that is amazing, I have taken the ferry across, on horseshoe bay though, and I have always had to wait along time!

The last time I took a ferry to the island I brought my portable DVD player with me and watched Jim Shockey videos while in the line up and the whole way. That made the time fly by.

The ferry from Rupert to the Charlottes is a lot of fun. I find the one from Van to the island a little less stimulating, I guess cause it is so calm through there most of the time. One day I want to take the ferry from Rupert to Pt. Hardy. But I want to be on one of the ones that does not smack into a 10 mile long island at full speed. That is not my idea of fun.

Ive been on the Bella Coola ferry once. it took us about 11 hours to get to port Hardy.
lots to see.
Last thusday i got hung up on the free way becouse of the dump truck that lost its pup trailer but at the ferry i was told i had an hour wait. All of a sudden my line up started to move after 15 minnets. Drove right on but i think thay screwed up becouse
thay sropped the line up beside me and thay had been there longer than me.Like i was going to correct them. The ferry line ups have to be the worst place for road rage ive
iv ever seen. The look of the people in the other line up was pricless.

6 to 7 if the weather is good. I have heard of people being stuck on it for 15+ hrs as it was trying to get to port.

I generally don't mind ferry lineups that much. It's an excuse to practice hackey-sack, or get out the aluminum polish and shine up the mag wheels. If it's Horseshoe Bay, there's some good places to eat. Then again, I don't think I've ever had more than a two-sailing wait, and never had to put up with a back seat full of restless kids.
