cooling / electric fan flex-a-lite

I have a 1991 460 f-250 4x4 and have various mods done to it and recently saw that flex a lite made a set of electric fans for my truck that work well enough to replace the original equipment belt fan and fan clutch

http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/htm...h-electric.html

i however was wondering if anyone has experminted with this product and could tell me if two 27 inch electric fans could keep a 460 cool flex a lite claims that it can move 4,600 cfm of air
thanks

i wouldnt bother- the standard clutch fan- while not the most efficient power wise- only takes at most 5 hp- is 5 hp really worth a couple hundred dollars or so to you?

find a fan off of t-bird, i found mine from a 93 sc. it is 18" in daimeter, a shroud and two speeds. at the higher speed, it pushes around 4000cfm. enough for my 70 lincoln 460 to run 180 all year round. they can be had at the local salvage yard for a reasonable price, and the motors can be bought new at the local parts store,(incase the one at the salvage is rough), which makes them rebuildable. i found mine for less than 50 bucks, just had to make some mounting brackets, whick was only a few peices of flat stock...

did you get a noticable power increase off your 70 lincoln when you replaced your clutch fan with the electric fan?

Every manufacture of electric fans that I have looked at do not recommend using electric fans with the 460.
