93 idi turbo downpipe upgrade ?'s

hey, i have a 1993 f-250 with the idi turbo, im looking for more power like many others... i hear a lot about exhaust upgrades and switching to an ats 3" downpipe and going to 4" the rest of the way. as far as the downpipe goes, what else to i need to do this? i looked into ats and the downpipe with hardware costs about 80 bucks... what esle do i need? or will this bolt directly to my existing stock set up? i see things about changing the turbine housing but i have no idea if this is necessary. any help would be great, thanks.
Jason

also, has anyone looked into nitrous systems for these? zex makes a decent system for 600, im just curious if its worth it or if its just going to cause my engine to cavitate.

You will need to get the turbine housing to use their pipe, I am making some pipes for that that the truck owner can cut his flange off and weld it to the new downpipe, not quite as good as the upgrade but a hell of a lot better than stock, we did it on my neighbors and it made a noticeable difference

At the least you will need the "turbo snail" listed below. It has the 3" outlet you will need to connect to the down pipe.

Ats part number T730442OH
Part Description
-Wastegated Turbo Outlet Housing Elbow Casting, Quicker Response, Ford 85-94, 7.3L, IDI (mounts between turbo and downpipe)
$283.50 USD

Ats also offers an upgrade for the exhaust housing that guarentees everything fits. It is like 600 bucks, if I remember right.

As stated above you will need the 3 inch turbo out-let housing and the 3 inch down pipe, then look for a 94 1/2 powerchoke exhaust. Do not forget to modify your air inlet (ram or cowl air). Before turning up your pump or boost put in your guages.
