Questions on '52 Ford F-1

I'm writing a story about a kid who finds a '52 Ford pickup in a barn and gets it going, and I'd like details to be accurate. Is the battery in the engine compartment or under the driver's or passenger's floorboard? Does the truck have a separate ignition switch and starter button? Thanks.

52 F-1

Hi Ben, I have a 52 F-1, so if you have any questions I would be happy to try to answer them. If I can't, there are many on this Forum that know much more than I do. Ordering a parts book and or downloading from the net is also a good way to find info. Also, when you finish, it would be interesting to read your story. Best of luck, Monte
