When you have a Subaru and a junk 460-

You get creative:

It might need a hood scoop.

Put a blower on that thing, and find a good fiberglass person to fabricate the hood...LOL

Kinda reminds me of the 70's when people were putting the 350's in the Vegas and tried to figure out how to do the drag tires with minimal srub in the fender wells.

Mike

p.s Will you still be able to get 30 MPG?...

I'd pay to see the look on the fella's face who pulls up next to that heavy breather.

I wish I had that kind of free time!

I'd wonder how you'd keep the **** end from losing traction...in that feather light frame. Some monster traction bars on those 25" tires!

I'd take a trip out to Port Orchard just to see that thing run!

Yeah, that's all junk on it's way out the door. Needed to ballast the front of the trailer, and it made for a cool photo at the same time.
Although, I had thoughts before about shoving a 5.0EFI into one of these, and physically it would fit. Might have to get creative with a full 8-10point cage to make it stay together, not to mention where to hid a radiator, but it would fit in the engine bay. That 460 isn't even all the way stuffed in there. If it didn't have a t/c hanging off the back of it, it would have fit in behind the grill.
Too bad the body on this little Hatch is so far gone- but that's what happens when you get into 26-27 year old recycled soup cans.

It was full of water when I got it- a ~750lb paperweight. I still have another one if you want to tinker.
I put both up on CL, no response at all. I wouldn't try to rebuild them, they both were full of water, have no history on them at all, and came out of some guys driveway when his tenant moved out. I got them for the ~1500lbs they would add to my scrap run.

If I was headed your direction I would come and get them but since I'm unable to might as well scrap it (as I wipe away the tears). Got just way to much going on andno time to do it.

If you want the other one, it can stay in the back of the truck for a bit, it's not in the way of anything. The other one has an a/c bracket also. The truck will be going away before too long also, once the few good parts are pulled, and thrown on the new truck.

Thanks but mama'd get really upset if I brought anything else home with me and she's already threatening to call the wrecker on what I got.
