I'm just tired.

For 3 weeks now I've been waiting on my local case/ih dealer to get me a pair of fuelfilters for my truck. I mean is it that rare of a product? Is our trucks the only thing ih uses these filters on. I reckon I'm going to have to go to the motorcraft store and give $60+ tax for the filters. Man this stinks. I've spend quite a few hours tonight looking for online ih dealers to no outcome. The only motorcraft filters I can find online still brangs them home for $60.

My wife works next to an International truck dealer and she picks up my filters for me and I have never had to wait for them.
They always have them in stock.

$46.95 from Diesel Filters Online. Place an order for $150 or more and there's no shipping charge. With the need for oil and fuel filters and Mercon SP, they've got a great price on that, you'll easily reach $150.

I ordered two fuel filters and keep one in the truck... just in case.

Are these filters made by Racor?

Yes! They come in a Racor package and the larger of the two has the 'Aquabloc' white sleeve around the filter itself. Also comes with an o-ring for each housing cap.

Thanks brother for the heads up. I was looking at the motorcraft filters at the same place. They have them for $49.??. This is a real good idea, but not swingable right this minute. Please dont break out the violin. We are in a bad drought right this minute. I've only had 1/4" of rain in 4 months. To maintain my herd I had to sell some cattle and took big heads. Here we have flooded the market. I've sold all the calves I have and culls. All is left is my bred cows. I was going to keep some replacement heifers this year but no luck. The wheat did'nt take long at all to harvest so I'm only getting 40 hours at. I have no hay to feed not to mention sell. What I'm getting at is I cant sit $100 up on the shelf tied up. Right now thats 2 bales of hay and some change. I'm not going to go to the goverment for help cause theres more in need than me. Most farmers lost all 5 of there crops. Wheat, Corn, Soybeans, Cotton, And hay and probally cattle and goats.
I will keep this idea in mind for when times get better. I whole point of this thread was it seems to me that a company should beable to get alittle closer than this on its delivery. I live in a area thats rich in Jd and case tractors and powerstroke fords. Yall gave me the idea of going to the ih dealer btw. You would think that the ih dealer would keep them handy. Well talking to them 3 weeks ago they said they usually keep them but have'nt had them in a few months and would order some. That makes no sence to me unless they are trying to sell them higher than advance auto. I'm goingto flat tell you a farmer will make 2 stops if it saves him $5. I would think think the case/ih dealer would have them so the farmer could just make 1 stop.

Did anyone see my link above? I just ordered 2 sets at 31.00 a piece + shipping is 70.40. 35.20 a set. Can't beat that for Racors. Bueller? Bueller?

I just changed my fuel filters two weeks ago. You just need a 36 mm socket and a ½ toque wrench. I bought my filters from DIESELFILTERSONLINE.com. $49.95 total for Motorcraft. The web sight also has color instructions that made changing the filters a piece of cake. Good Luck.

I saw it Btravelen. Added it to my favorites list too, I'll be heading there next time I need to order some fuel filters (they're really expensive for oil filters though).
