blowing powertrain control fuses

My 1996 F150 died on my today just as I was pulling in the driveway. It would crank but wouldn't start..I started checking fuses and found the powertrain control fuse was blown.I replaced it and the truck started right up.I was on my way to the store to get more fuses and I only made it about 5 blocks and the same fuse blew again...Anyone know what could be causing this?..I phoned the dealer and of course they say they have never heard of that problem before.
