I read some where that ford was going to drop the SVT program.. is this true??? i sure hop enot, i'm looking foward to the gen 3 lightning

 

I don't think much effort is being put into while Ford is trying to get out of the red. You might not see an SVT(besides cobra) until 09.

 

I believe the SVT program was scrapped at the end of the '04 model year. The Ford GT is built by Saleen. The Harley Davidson's are just special editions. And the Shelby GT500 is a Carroll Shelby designed and overseen project.

 

the GT500 is still on svt.ford.com so its hard to tell...

 

From what I've heard you have to look hard to find SVT written very many places on the GT500.

 

It's too bad because I would've bought the first SVT Sport Trac Adrenaline AWD I could get my hands on too. If Ford is going to put SVT on hold they should at least have an option to put a factory super charger/sport package on. The Lincoln MKX was supposed to but they scrapped that too.

 

That was looking like it was going to be a wild ride if it hit the streets.
