Explorer Brake light problems

Does anyone have any idea as to why when depressing brake pedal the brake lights do not come on, but if you press hard on pedal they work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you post this on the Explorer forum?

Bring it out and we can test the brake light switch.

Definetly sounds like brake light switch, it may need adjusting. Most can be moved in and out.
