ENGINE SERVICE WARNING LIGHT

Hi - We just installed a Super Chip in a friends 1999-f250-SD-7.3L PSD. The truck is working great. But after a speed over 90 m.p.h. the Engine Service Warning light comes on. Does anyone have any idea why. Truck was just serviced. THANK YOU Joe

ENGINE SERVICE WARNING LIGHT

The service engine light comes on because the boost is over the ecu alarm point when you reach that speed. If you accelerate hard, by the time you reach about 80-90 mph, the boost has risen above the alarm point for the computer. DiabloSport has several programs to eliminate that problem. Most codes are different, some will clear the light after a couple of minutes, some require turning the ignition off to clear the alarm. The dealer will not see this problem, you must remove the chip for him to properly diagnose the ecu. It will not alarm without the chip.

Tell us you saw it on FTE
Thanks
