D0VE heads-Rocker Arm Stud Q

Might be an odd question, but the 7/16th threads on the factory studs from our heads look 100% pristine, yet all will only take a bolt about flush with the end of the stud...then they all get real tight.

They all thread into the holes on the heads the same way...about 1/2 inch then tighten up.

Okay, I was going to chase the threads on the studs, but thought I'd ask first...would the threads be cut differently than a regular bolt? i/e in order to aid in keeping them secure? Or should I be able to just spin them all the way down by hand and torque to seat?

I think you've got the wrong forum. This is for FE engines, which do not use rocker studs. I think this is the one you're looking for:
