drum to disc conversion

i was looking at a drum to disc conversion for my 78 f250 4x4 and my 75 ford maverick and was told that there is an anti-reversion valve i have to remove in my master cylinder that leaves 10 lbs of pressure on my drum brakes to keep the shoes up close to the drums... anyone else hear about this? anyone have pictures of this valve that i am supposed to remove?
