Been running Esso XD3 0-40, may consider a CJ4 after the next change.

I get 6 - 1 gallon jugs at Sams. I forget how salty it is. Probably better that way. I wanna say like 60/box or about $2.50 per qt. Might be off on that.

Smile Oil

I've always used Rotella T 15w-40. It is a great oil for diesels and I've never had any problems.

Schaefer is almost as cheap as Rotella synthetic. The price is so close it's a no brainer.

I've used Shell since day one. I tried Chevron Delo 400 twice but I didn't like the change in engine noise encountered so I switched back to Shell branded oil and don't plan on trying a different brand again.

Mobil Delvac 1 synthetic since 5K miles and I'm currently at 50K. Its rated for 100K miles in OTR big rigs so I run it to 7500 mile intervals. LIPD just did all my mods and Matt actually asked what oil I was running as the motor was in overall great condition considering the severity of my compression leak, 7 of 8 cylinders! He actually talked one of his customers (a long time user of another brand's syn and heavily invested in his current truck's 6.0 w/ extreme mods) into changing over to Delcav 1 because of this.
