Question Used programmers

I have found some used edge evo's on ebay for about 100 to 150 dollars cheaper than a new one. Do they have custome tunes or can you move them from truck to truck? Or should i just avoid used tuner alltogether? Thanks,

Used tuners are fine , but beware of people who installed it in there truck but did not uninstall it. They are just trying to keep the benefits of the tuner while selling it to some poor ebayer. Once the tuner is installed it is locked for one VIN numbe ronly unless it has been uninstalled.

There is no longer a place to find a "cheap" new one. They have fixed all the pricing..... so everyone is forced to sell the same. Tough cookies for us consumers.

There are honest people out there. I have sold a few tuners in my past, with good results. All depends on the source really. Certainly keep an eye on the FTE classifieds for such items.

Keep looking, ebay, craigslist, classifieds on truck sites. I managed to get a unit for $300 today. Seller gave me his receipt also that he purchased on 6-2-07 from Autoanything for $450.

I am looking for a decent list of settings for a 4.6L Screw now. I am new to the evo and don't want to 'experiement' too much on my truck.
