Are my injectors seated properly?

I just installed my injectors on Saturday, but I'm not sure if they are seated. The cups were cleaned, the injectors were well oiled, and they were all torqued to 120 in-lbs. As suggested in some of the writeups, I set my framing square across the solonoids to make sure they are even, but they are not, neither side is. I didn't have time to measure, guessing maybe 1/16" or so variation. Should I be worried about it, or assume they are fine if they are torqued properly?

If the valve covers are still off you could give the offset ones a little nudge with a rubber mallet.....loosen the holddowns first.

If any of them move and do "seat", you should probably remove those injectors and re o-ring them as they have been sitting on the o-rings since installation and may be compromised.

I'll try loosening the retainer bolts and giving them a few whacks to see if they move at all. Are you guys driving them on the brackets or on the solonoids? All 8 copper washers came out with the injectors when they were pulled, the cups were cleaned, and all 8 had new washers when installed. I thought I was done till I thought to check with the straight edge.

I try to use the bracket as a fulcrum as much as I can to pop them in....but sometimes they need a little pop on the solenoid.

I do the same. usually use a hammer handle on the free end of the clamp and hit the hammer head with my palm. they pop right into place

Ok, I pulled the high ones and carefully reseated them. Nothing in the cups and all o-rings and washers looked fine. They sure seem to be seated to me based on how they feel and they go smoothly then sound solid, but the second one back from the front on both sides seems a tad taller than the rest. I don't know what else to do but see what happens once I get it started.

yeah just start it up. I have never checked the level of any of the injector I have put in. Could be normal or atleast common.
