News1130 said some places were under immediate evac warning... ie. be prepared to leave within the hour when notified. Their website apparently has current info, and I'm sure it'll be somewhere else as well. http://www.news1130.com
saw some pictures of terrace the other day. We're up really high here (Fraser and Quesnel Rivers, the Quesnel is the same size as the Fraser just not as long) thankfully most of the town is elevated quite high and theres only one neighbourhood in danger and the odd yard here and there. Theres one bridge underpass and you cant even see the guard rail seperating the the road and river (which is usually about 8' lower). Ill try and get a pic today.
Ya, Racerguy in Terrace might be in for some not nice stuff depending on where he lives. I just saw some pics of Terrace and she is floating. There is water over the hwy between Terrace and Rupert and Terrace and Hazelton, so they are stuck until the water goes down, which could take a long time. The train also stops in Smithers so they only way they can get supplies in is by plane to the airport. The pics look like those slides and floods you see in China on the news. Not good.
I am sure that they will get the help that they need. I have our trailer ready to go so I can dry camp in my driveway if I have to if thge power goes out.
