I have been a member of FTE for several months now. I love it. I have run across different mentions of Chapters. I really don't know what the Chapter thing is all about. I clicked on the join here thing. The first thing I was asked is why I wanted to join. I don't have a good answer. So I didn't.
Will someone explain what it means to belong to a Chapter. I will say if I would join it would be the Georgia one.

I'm not sure I even know what you mean. Are you suggesting some possible answers to why I would want to be a member? I sometimes speak in code, but not the same ones as you I guess.

I do not know why they ask the reason why you want to join. It is just the way vBulletin is setup I suppose. No worries though you could even put incoherent babble in there and I will approve it. Look forward to you joining. Welcome to the Ga chapter.
As far as what it means to belong to a chapter I guess it means different things to different people. To me it means locals have a common spot to talk about local issues. Sometimes a couple members might get together and tackle a small truck project. Sometimes a few members get together and barbecue and shoot the bull. I am proud to be part of the Georgia chapter myself. I have had alot of good times with some of the folks here. We have good people.
