Nisan Titan
Anybody see that Nisan Titan commercial where they chain a Titan frame behind a pole and hook it to a train. Then the train get going like 5 mph,the chains tighten up and start to slow down the train before the chain break?
Some of the other Titan commercials i thought were a little BS, but this one i think is full of crap.
What do you guys think, just another pointless commercial from the competition?

Most 5/16 transport chain will break before you bend the frames of newer trucks.
You know, there is a difference between sch 70/80 chain and cheap chain. I think 3/8 sch 70 wouldn't break and low grade chain would against a modern frame.
You can certainly throttle a electric/diesel train to slowly overcome and break a chain or to the point of torque stalling.

Yea, I watched that and it's one link that snaps, obviously Wal-mart chain...
For 25 cents or less, does anyone alive here remember when Ford advertised their tough frame by welding it to the front of a (I think Sherman) tank and taking a cruise through the woods?
My old man noted they was running through nothing bigger than 3 or 4 inches...
"our frame is strong enough to topple trees....."

That commercial and the yota commercial where they drop a 40 yard box off the side of a cliff and the truck stops it........................there both crap, with a capital C.
The down side, I don't care what truck you put into there place or who it's made by there would be a truck at the bottom of a canyon and a frame in need of a torch and scrap yard. There just too far off base to even be possible, it's rediculous.

I'm not understanding this post......are you saying they are the FIRST 1/2 tons with the boxed frame????
Because CURRENTLY Toy is the ONLY 1/2 ton WITHOUT a fully boxed frame.
[GM went fully boxed this year and Dodge has been for a few years now]
