Question Ford Roll Up Tonneau Cover

Does anyone have FORDs roll up tonneau cover? They show a picture of it on their website, but it doesn't really show how it works, latches when unrolled, or if there are any support rods that go across the bed. Here is the web site. http://www.fordaccessories.com/produ...neauCover.aspx

I currently have an ACCESS ROLL UP COVER on my 2003 F250, but this will not fit the 2008 I have on order. Here is their website. I am hoping the dealer will throw in the ford one or give me more money for my trade. Here is their web site. http://www.agricover.com/index.php/p...s/category/C9/

Just looked at the Ford Assy link...I can't believe they are charging that much for a vinyl cover and velcro

I'd check to see if a Retrax would work...you can pick up a "blem" directly from the company for about the same price as the vinyl cover in the first link.

the problem is the dealer wants the cover i have on the truck when I trade it. So I am trying to see if I can either keep mine and sell it, or up my trade in price. But if they offer me the ford cover I want to be ready and know more about it.

Personally, I would try and negotiate a better price on the 08 without a cover since your trading yours in with one....then buy a better cover.

So the dealer would not budge on the trade in price, nor would he include the ford cover. But they did tell me that if I wanted to take it off and try selling it I could.

Get a Retrax, I have one arriving tomorrow. Researched a lot on this, looked at several on trucks, figured the Retrax might be the best compromise on ease of use/stop it anywhere in the track/installation.

I like the retractable covers but dislike the space it takes up at the fron of the cab. I think I will go with another ACCESS cover. I don't like the truxedos squared off look at the tailgate side.

I agree with you SuperDuty_08, I just ordered the Access Tool Box edition #61309 and it will be arriving in 4-7 days for my 2000 F350 I tow a 5ver a lot and travel to Canada without it on occasion, so I was looking for something easier to put on and off than a complete Leer cap or hard top tonneau, like having my toolbox and bed rails on there. I looked at a lot of covers and it seemed to offer the best compromises for my situation.
