Photo insert help

Sorry for this post, but how do I put photos in my posts.

I have no clue!

Someone as to walk me thru this kind of stuff. I do not know how to get photos from different files and place them in folders and stuff like that.

Is there a section for dummies like me?

Go to the location where the picture is stored with your browser and view the picture. Right click on the browser search bar and select copy. Go to your post and right click and select paste. The system will make the address from your browser into a link.

Since you are a club FTE member if you have a picture on your computer that is small enuf and the right type use the advanced post system and select "Attach files" on the lower section of the page. Follow the directions to browse your computer for the file and upload it.

Check some of the other posts in this forum. Many others have asked this question!

As far as moving pictures on your computer there are books at the local bookstore that will help with manipulating your computer.

Links or the actual photo like I post ?

Each forum has a set of forum codes.

There is a Normal size (the top one) and a thumbnail size (the bottom one).

Copy and paste that in a post.

You can see photo codes by clicking the Quote on a post that has photo in it.

Thanks for the info guys - I will experiment with the photos when I get a chance.

If for some reason the FTE site crashes --- it was not me!

So be looking for photos from me - soon.

Still no photos to posts

I can get photos to the gallery section, but I can not get my photos to the posts.

I was reading that the post do not have drag feature, and it needs some Java program, is this correct?

I have some pictures on my hard drive now, I just can not get them to post.
I tried the attachment way, but I says my pictures are too big, 700 and only 200 will fit - is there a way to cut down the bytes?

You should be able to right click on the pic. and a menu will come up. left click on copy, when you open your post. right click, and then left click paste. You do not need to go into manage attachments. Luck to ya.

Do a Java Upgrade .

You can still upload pics in the browse file window without drag and drop.

You need to use the Image Forum codes for either full-size or thumbnail image.

The FTE upload system automatically resizes photos.
