floor shifter

are there any floor shirters that work with a fmx tranny in a 76 ranchero

Jimbare is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
about all of the shifter manufacturers make automatic floor shifters for that.

also if you change the shift shaft in the tranny, you can use a factory shifter.

Complete shifter handle, ****, everything visible on the floor are the same: FMX, C4 & C6. Cars that used these parts are: 1973/76 Torino/Montego; 1977/79 LTD II/Cougar, and 1977/79 T-Bird.


BUT, the FMX shift rods and linkage were only used on 1973/76/Torino/Montego.

so any shifter for a c-4 will work

Only the cars I listed above use the same visible parts. The shift handle, dial and quadrant..everything visible is the same for the models I mentioned. But the parts you can't see, the shift linkage is specific to the type of transmission. In this case FMX - 1973/76 Torino/Montego.
